Which oil?

I will soon be changing my oil and I always like to get good advice, so which engine oil do people recommend (in the UK) or are they pretty much all the same? 10w40 synthetic.

Esther/esther blend Silkolene or Motul.

I use Motul 5100 10w40 with ester
