Crazy revcounter??

Has anyone experienced a jumpy revcounter?mine spins out of control when I get to 6000 revs..so much so that the needle has now jumped out..ANY CURES??

Check that the wires in the back of it haven't been pulled out.

I'll have a look at lunch time..thanx is it possible to get inside the revcounter to replace the needle??

Don't know...but people who repair instruments advertise in the back of Classic Bike mags over here. Something else to check is the sensor which feeds the clock.
