KTM 950 Safari Tank Attachment Modification
 

There is a web post on HU about a "5 min modification" to the lower attachment point of the 40L Safari tanks on the KTM 950/990 to account for inevitable tank expansion/contraction. Does anybody know what is involved in this? The original poster from the early 2000s seems to have gone dark.

Just came across your post while trawling for other things and thought I'd point you to this thread/subforum on ADVRider. The Safari tanks are made and popular in Australia, and that thread's pretty helpful in general, usually with answers in a few minutes to hours. I'm sure someone on there will know.
