KTM LC4 Tank Bag
Thinking of one these, the KTM one and a few questions:
Where and how does it fix to the bike? Does it anchor around the front and back of the tank? Is it expandable? Does it get in the way when riding standing up on the dirt? Is it robust? Long trip on bad roads planned... Thanks in advance. |
Ian,
I would recommend the Touratech tankbag. Very rugged and has a good map pocket. You can also attach side bags. I can send you a picture of mine but there are more details on the Touratech web site http://www.touratech.de/shop_uk/enter.html Steve |

I asked the same question before I bought mine - I have the KTM one. It fits on the bike via a "baseplate" which is fixed to the bike both front and back. The bag then zips to this. The bag is expandable and comes with a clear vinyl waterproof cover (never needed). On the side are two zipped pockets for coins, smokes etc. All in all a good bag - funnily enough I am selling one (as well as an LC4)! If you are interested let me know. |
I'd recommend the Touratech Enduro one. Its bigger and better made.

I have the KTM one, fits to the frame tubes at the rear of the tank and round the headstock, great bag but like most tank bags it can get in the way a little off road.

I have the TourTech Enduro tank bag and it’s great! Highly recommended made my Central America trip a pleasure and it pops off relatively easy via a heavy duty zipper which I just undo 2/3s of the way when fueling.
