Oil Change!
Probably i will ask the most stupid question... How do i make an oil change for my LC4 2004? My local dealer here in Russia didn't provide me with the owner's manual. And it sounds strange when they charge me the cost of 4 litres of oil for a scheduled oil change... As far as i know the oil volume is 2.1 ltrs. Any info will be useful, it is a lack of it here in Moscow! The only thing - i love my Duke II!
Thanks. |
Hi i have sent you a mail which might help. The LC4 enginge '04 only holds 2.1lt of oil like you said. Good Luck.

I recall there's a detailed thread on the LC4 oil change on www.advrider.com
The oil change is relatively complicated so I would avoid attempting it until as a minimum I'd become familiar with the correct procedure. FWIW I use 2 litres of oil per change on my LC4 - 1.3 goes in the engine, 0.6 in the frame, and a bit in the spin-on oil filter. Cheers. Yes, it takes me 1 hour to change the oil on my LC4 but only 45 minutes to check the valves. Crazy. Also, here's a tip: don't put 2.1 liters of oil in it. Its too much. I use 1.9 liters and the oil level will be right in the middle of the measuring dip stick.

Hi Suggest you log into www.advrider.com at thumpers as they will have the answer to all your LC4 questions - HU is relatively useless for this type of info!
