Turatech seat for KTM 990
Considering a Tourtech seat for my 990 and wondered if anyone had done the same and with what results.

Probably will find you'll be requesting a new arse as the TT seats tend to be quite hard. Might not be the time to discover you've got 'grapes of wrath' :eek3:
IIRC the 990 seats come as standard with the gel inserts. |
I can't comment on the TT seat but am very pleased with the Renazco seat i got from the USA. Vast improvement over the standard instrument of torture.

Try an Airhawk cushion
Hi I have a KTM 950 Adventure with original seat - it was a killer - I tried everything - sheepskin - gel knickers... nothing worked! I purchased the cheap version airhawk - plastic instead of neoprane. The neoprane version is only required if you are ramping off 30ft tabletop jumps and landing botty first on your Airhawk. I have had mine for 1 1/2 years and its stood the test of time. It really is the only option and a cheap one at that - I paid £45 and trust me it works. I can now ride for 8 hours at a time ± 650 miles without a botty twitch.

The Touratech is alot firmer, has a flatter profile and has more grip. At the front it's narrower than the standard seat and the rear is wider with a concave shape to it. The shape sounds a bit wierd but by moving back and forth a small amount on a long ride greatly changes where the pressure is applied to you ass. |
