I had that exasct conversation with ARB about having 12V components on a 24v appliance, which I suggested was a bodge. They weren't in agreement unsuprisingly, but given the cost of these units, you really would expect better. I did have a dropper, but that failed so at the moment the 12v stuff is wired off the battery until I can fit a new dropper somewhere less exposed to the elements.

HI all,
New here but faced with similar 24V/12V shenanigans on an ARB CKMTA24 compressor install. In my case, it's going in a boat, with only 24V supply. I'm therefore looking to do what ALU did, and replace the 12V control components with 24V versions. So far I've ordered 2 x 24V relay replacements, a 24V cooling fan, and a 24V rated on/off switch. My question is, does the pressure switch also need swapping out for a 24V version? Or will this be fine....the only marking on the side is 20A (and the max/min pressure)...no mention of voltage. And what about the diodes within the loom, do I need to swap those? I can't find any detail on the rating of those. Hope someone can help! |
