Dimensions and model numbers
 

Just a couple of questions!

1) Does anyone have (or know where I can find) the internal dimensions of the a '95 Discovery boot. My vehicle is in the garage being upgraded and would like to start purchasing the packing crates and jerry cans. Would be useful if I at least knew the dimensions to ensure I don't buy the wrong sizes or too many etc.

2) On spares sites I see things like "Discovery I 200Tdi and 300Tdi from MA081992 to VA560897". Now I have a '95 Discovery 300tdi but have no idea what the identification numbers the spares sites use are. I notice my VIN has an MA towards the end of it, does that suggest that these identification numbers are the last part of the VIN?

1) sorry, don't know the dims of disco internals, although i'm sure there out on the web somewhere.

2), yes, the MA****** bit relates to the end of your VIN, the first parts (SALL****) is just denoting things like solihull build,kit form or not, number of doors,body style etc.

door aperture: 1055*1540
load length (r seats folded): 1325
biggest slide in box (r seats folded): 1020h*1220L*1080w

Thanks Richard! (I presume when you say R seats folded you mean the additional side facing seats rather than the actual rear passenger seats?)

In the book it says "rear seats folded" on the load length and for the biggest box it says "rear seats rolled forward"
