Just wondering: Could there be room for distribution of COVID vaccines by motorcycle in places like Africa?

I doubt it.

So far as I understand it, the vaccines which are coming out all require refrigeration at well below zero temperatures.

Not to mention the carrying capacity of a motorcycle. Vaccines will have to be distributed by the thousands and tens of thousands.

Now, if a family in northern Norway needs a half dozen doses in the middle of winter, you might be able to help.

And not just ordinary refrigeration: the Pfizer vaccine needs to be kept at -70c or will spoil within 24 hours; the Moderna needs to be transported and kept at 'only' -20c. The Oxford vaccine can be kept at a relatively balmy +5c.

I don't see a lot of motorcycle transportation being useful with any of them.

The World Health Organization (WHO) takes care of vaccinations in Africa. :scooter:
