Organisation: JustGiving - a great way to support any charity for travellers
JustGiving is a website that makes it easy for you to support a charity, and makes it clear that all the money raised is ONLY going to the charity, and not paying for your fun trip! As a result donations are much better, and payment is easy for the donating person, and easy for you to manage.
Over 8000 charities are already using JustGiving to raise more money. Find out why the charity you work for should start fundraising online. Webpages, Facebook apps, text donations and more. Highly recommended. JustGiving |
There are others too ....
Hi Grant : Just Giving are good and I have used them. There are others that do a similar job such as www.bmycharity.com (used them last year) and www.virginmoneygiving.com who I will be using for my efforts this year.
Unique feature of VirginMoneyGiving is that you can choose to support more than one charity and the proportion split of the money raised is done automatically by the site, including Gift Aid if you are UK Tax payer! Best Regards Simon www.dambusters2013.org.uk :mchappy: |
+1 for JustGiving which I had in addition to my hands-on missions to Malian orphanages.
JustGiving deal with the Gift Aid aspect too- Easy to use You can add text describing your activity/ies and update that page as often as you like and add one photo too. |
Never heard of this, thanks!

Charity motorcycle ride around the world
My wife and I are preparing to ride our motorcycle around the world in December this year. We are a Canadian Couple living in Africa for the past 20 years. We are currently building the only Sports Academy for Orphans in Zambia. We are surrounded by 5000 orphans with no direct help or chance to do much with their life. Most of their parents died of AIDS, as there are places where 50 graves a day are dug to bury the dead.

German Organisation for Helpers during travelling
If you like to support social project during your travelling, then have a look at the German organisation "Stiftung für Helfer"
The website is www.stiftung-fuer-helfer.de |
Causes seems like a good option for US-based folks

I don't really understand why giving to a charity if you have some options of fellow HU riders raising money for a personal charity...
Like we do, but there are others... Just my 2 cents... |
