Solo circumnavigation of Africa
I have just launched my website africa bike adventure for save the children and would appreciate any advice on how to improve the site as I am not too hot with web design. Please donate to Save the Children while you are at it!

Hi Spencer
Just had a look at your site, and it looks great. :thumbup1: But it could do with a planed date for the trip on it, just so people know its going to happen and hasn't already happened, there are so many out of date sites on the web. Maybe making the save the children logo clickable, so people can see the good they do, (but this may take people away from your site) or a little information about them would be good on your site. Good luck with the project. Julian. |

Hi, RE the route map I'm not sure what the 6 blue circle arrow things en route are for. I tried clicking one half expecting a video clip pop-up or some info about that point.

WELL DONE- great web page, colourful, lovely pictures, easy to navigate and good small info bites for each cause. Good luck with your trip.
We are looking for places to volunteer on our trip- just got to work out the route first! Best wishes, Rose:clap: |

solo circumnavigation of africa
I will be leaving biddenden on 1st nov.I would like to invite any bikers who can brave the weather to come down and see me off to the coast.Although it is a long way off Some idea of numbers would be great as I have to let the police know.I already have about 30 confirmed and it should be a good day out.E-mail me from my website.I am not looking for donations from bikers just support.Look out for me on BBC south east in the next few weeks and on GMTV and The One Show later in the year.I will on with Richard E Grant who is the patron of my expedition.I have stuck with my XT660Z.Anyone who lives nearby(KENT)and wants to meet up for a ride in the summer would be good.Would like to hear from any Sahara and DR Congo riders to get some advice as those are the areas I am bricking about. But to hear from anyone who has done parts of the route would be great.I have of course read Dans book as well as Lois Price,Ted Simon,The Adventure Motorcycle Handbook,Sahara Overland,Ewan Magregor and Boormans books and this site of course. Can anyone recommend any other books that I might have missed
