border Azerbaijan russia
Hallo, this august I will do alone with my bike a trip, i leave italy and go south east. I enter in georgia, after from georgia to armenia, come back in georgia, and after from georgia to azerbaijan (3 days in AZ) and from azerbaijan to russia, from the only border cross, near Derbent and caspian sea. Someone know if this border is open or if it's difficult to cross? I have read a thread (here on HUBB) that’s open, but I’m not sure.
Thank’you at all |

I didn't pass from this border personally. Asked from a friend who lives nearby and pass in every few months. Before I knew that only locals and who has relatives could pass. Learnt that no problem to pass for foreigners to pass with their own vehicle. Though it takes some hours to pass because of prosedure and bureaucracy. Please share your experience after passing it... |
Thanks a lot Samy for your quick reply!
My trip in this area is only for 2015, so I can't give a report very soon... RR. |
But I can do, after my journey !!

Thanks a lot Gunther for these good news! If I remember well you have crossed this border from AZ. to Russia. Have you seen west european cars crossing this border in reverse direction? (though I think if you can cross with your bike, you can do it with your car). RR. |
Bad Forum?
I think this thread should be moved to Northern Asia forum, don't you?
