Ferry from Israel to Creece or Italy?
 

I am close to start a little winter trip - towrds europe, turkey, syria and jordan to israel. For the way back I would like to use a ferry...I can't find anything on the web...

That's because they stopped operating after 9/11.

Even the Cesme-Italy ferry only operates in summer, so you can try to take your chances trying to get a ferry from TR to a Greek island, like Chios, then on to Athens and Italy.

After Syria became closed to me (UK Passport) in the summer, I tried to arrange a trip back to Europe through Israel without success. I was calling travel agents in the area, and talking with shipping companies in Egypt, and they were telling me there is no way.

One workaround is to enter and exit via Israel. I just confirmed that you can ride a bike off a ferry at Haifa and ride through Israel. Likewise you can exit Israel and travel to Cypress and then catch a ferry to either Turkey or Greece.

There is a ship from Haifa Israel to Greece once a week. it is not a ferry. but it takes cars and bikes (via cyprus).

What do you mean by "it is not ferry" -- does it take people as well or not?

Ro-Ro freighters taking passengers. It means you probably can't just roll up and buy a ticket and drive on board. I suspect you need the full works, like bills of lading, etc., i.e. more paperwork.

According to one of the links above Salamis runs once a week, starting 1st April.
