Lowdown on the Carnet
 

Hey, can someone give me the lowdown on the whole carnet business? I'm totally in the dark about it. Any websites about it?

Just for ref, I plan to travel UK-Europe-Turkey-Georgia-Armenia-Azerbaijan-Iran-Turkey-Europe-UK

All I know is that you aren't required to have a Carnet for Turkey but depending on where you're bike is registered at it can make the customs much faster.

On the left of all posts is a "Carnet de passage" link...

by the way, the RAC in the UK - THE UK carnet issuing authority - posts on this website in the Paperwork forum, and sends people to this site for carnet info...

There's also links on the Links page - link on left... to more on carnets, the RAC site and other carnet sitres around the world
