Ship info from dubai to iran

Hi guys, next year I would like to get from Italy to Dubai by motorbike and then enter Iran. I would like to know who takes care of the transport of people and motorbikes by ship from Dubai to Iran. Thanks

Welcome to Horizons Unlimited!
So you plan to ride to Dubai, then ship/ferry to Iran?
Unfortunately I've NEVER heard of anyone trying that - doesn't mean it's not possible though. Please keep us posted on how you do! Sorry I can't be more help.

In 2010 I imported a car in Tehran to get the CPD deposit back: we left the car in a yard and the customs stamped our carnet (it was a Renault 5, so the deposit was the minimum, way much more than the value of the car).

The customs yard was full of luxury cars with Dubai plates. They told us that the owners were fleeing Dubai because they had debts there and in order the avoid prison. They took the ferry to Bandar Abbas, which was pretty common as a few days trip. They actually left the cars in Tehran and flew out from there. Apparently, the Dubai authorities were less suspicious about them fleeing the country by sea.

So, old information and just an anecdote, but crossing by ferry with your car was a pretty common trip at the time. I also presume that no CPD was required to Dubai residents. I cannot imagine the deposit for a Porsche 911 or a Lamborghini.
