UAE - scenic routes
 

I am going to be in Dubai to visit some friends at the start of December and am planning on renting a 4WD and heading out for a weekend to do some dune bashing / camping.

Does anyone have any favourite routes of up to 2-3 days duration they can recommend?

Likewise I have a map and book available (just bought it, latest edition) if you'd like to borrow -- drop a line and we can arrange a meetup for you to pick it up--I'm in Dubai. I haven't done much in the way of dune-bashing, but am hoping to do more in the future!

Motorcycle rentals?

I take it you are based in Dubai? Do you happen to know if it's possible to rent a motorcycle in Dubai? I know Harley Davidson do, but they're quite expensive. I'd like to take a bike and maybe hit Musandam. Any hints appreciated mate!
