Valeostarter in Dubai/Sharjah
 

Hello,

I am just having problems with my starter (R 100 GS, built in 1991). It is not the usual magnet-thing, but the plastic cover which holds the carbon brushes in place fell into many small peaces. Unglueable (I think).

Does anyone know where to get a starter in Dubai/Sharjah (best would be 2nd Hand)? Or does anyone know which of those cars which use the Valeo D6RA have been imported into the UAE (so that I can check the scrapeyards)?

Hi Lars,

I think the Peugeot 306 has the same starter. They are imported here and have been for quite a while. You will probably find one in Sharjah/Dubai without too much trouble. :thumbup1:

The same starter D6RA is used on late model Moto Guzzi 1100 sport, V11,Breva750 and 1100 . also used on small fiats , hope this helps.

Thanks, got one in the industrial area in Sharjah of a 306. The trouble was not to find the starter but to find somebody willing to sell it without the engine attached...
