Agoudal - Dades Gorge
Hi all,
Came down from Agoudal to Msemir on 22 March. Just got through as there were patches of deep snow on the north facing bends up to the Tizi. Just heard that the police closed the route to all traffic north of Tilmi on the 29th because of snow/mud/landslide. Anyone driven/ridden it since then? |
Thank you for the update.
I'm looking into this topic with much interest since I plan to be there in a couple of weeks! BR, Luís |
Thanks, any information appreciated.
Aghbalou Ramlia posted on UKGSER (Oued Ghress in Hi Remlia - ::. UKGSer.com .:: -- Just to inform any biker going from Merzouga to Zagoura and vice versa and passing through Hi Remlia that Oued Ghress is full of water thanks to the heavy rain that Tinjdad,Errachidia and nearby places knew these last 2 days. Therefore,do not venture to come to Remlia, then have to go back. -- Casper |
Thank you for the info, just a couple of notes on that:
- I was in Er Remlia in Nov2011 and it is some 200km south-east of Tilmi - Oued Dades follows the south west direction (I believe!) - Aghbalou Ramlia was banned from this forum for some time now - apparently he was using the HUBB to sell his services. Check for yourself at The HUBB - The HUBB I'm not saying that the info in wrong, it makes sense that it is true, but one of the things that I praise most in the HUBB is reliability of information. Happy and safe travels! BR, Luís |

Remlia
The information regarding Oued Remlia is likely to be correct. It's been raining heavily in the region of and on for the two weeks we've been here.
We've had torrential rain in Tanger, Erg Chebbi, the Cedar Forests, Midelt and just about all points in between. We're in Midelt tonight having driven through a snowstorrn near Ifrane. The Atlas are covered in heavy cloud. It's unseasonably cold so we're expecting a chilly night in Imilchil tomorrow. |
Dear Peter, are you going to Imilchil via Cirque Jaffar?
If yes please inform conditions, I plan to ride it in two weeks time. Thank you and BR, Luís |
To Imilchil
Hi Luis,
I'll not be starting via Cirque Jaffar as I've heard it's in poor shape. I'll be picking up the main piste south of Timnay. This was fine a couple of weeks ago. I'm anticipating that the gorges near Ait Akka up to the new piste near Anefgou will be pretty beaten up due to recent heavy rain and snow melt. There was a lot of snow here 2 weeks ago but from where I'm sitting his morning it looks like most of it's gone. I'll let you know. |
I have driven the Agoudal - Dades Gorge piste today, it's in poor shape in places and also very narrow on the mountain edge track due to mud / rock slides, but it's open.
|
Thank you for the update :thumbup1:
Do you know if Midelt-Imilchil via Cirque Jaffar is rideable on trail bikes? Anyway next week I'll be there and I'll post an update. BR, Luís |

Gorge to gorge
Hi Thomas,
There's a lot of roadworks going on at each end of the pistes and the locals tell me it's a lot easier to drive. Hoping to drive it soon. |
Many thank's Peter. When we will be back, I will post infos from tricky parts and interesting pict's.
Thomas |
Pete,
have you done Dades in the last few days? Matt (blue toyota from last year) said the mudslides and adverse camber made it really quite tricky. He suggested going down Todra. Done Dades 6 times now, but have never found it tricky. You know my LR130, is it do-able? Cheers Woody |
