Hi all!

12 years ago I did a a trip to morroco and fly out while my family took the vehicle and drove back to EU. This was possible with the help of Ministry (I think for transport). We went there with both passports and the people there unstamped vehicle from my passport and they stamp the vehiclee into passport from my family member.

I wonder if this is still possible and where is this possible to do.

Now the TVIP is a small white card from Customs which is related to the vehicle ownership document – plus passport name? Nothing is stamped in the passport anymore.

I would have thought leaving with this TVIP and the VoD + perhaps photo / letter of the original importer's passport may be enough? They can ask Customs when they arrive. All Customs want is for you to export it.

They may think you are stealing the car from another traveller - but that would be a police matter.

You will need to go to a customs office to sort it out.

Heres the official info from the Customs pages

"The Customs Administration may authorise the transfer of motor vehicles, imported into Morocco under the temporary admission (AT) procedure, between two persons provided that:
these two people meet the conditions for the benefit of the AT scheme and that they have a family relationship
the beneficiary of the transfer does not have in his or her care another vehicle temporarily admitted to Morocco and whose situation is not regularised
the stay, under the AT regime, of the transferred vehicle does not exceed the period initially granted from the date of its introduction into Morocco."

Would anyone happen to know where is customs office in Marakesh. is it possible to sort that out on the airport?

31.628331688349085, -8.004453850646193 is the Customs office in town (photo below) which I used to sort out my long expired TVIP after my bike had been there a year and a half during Covid.

Don't know if they can do what the airport can't, but that's where I was told to go.
Sorted in 2 mins.

fyi: I note Peter Girling wrote this on another post a few weeks back:

As a separate issue, we had one vehicle exported by a driver - his father had imported the vehicle and the father's [details] were on the TVIP. (He'd had to fly back to the UK urgently.) I'd prepared a letter with full explanation including both names, dates of birth passport details, etc. We also had an explanatory letter from our chums at the British Embassy in Rabat. We had all this ready to present, but the douanier just glanced at the TVIP and sent us on our way.
