It's a long way to the R104
 

But if u happen to find ur self near tiznit and fancy a cracking bit of road then sling a right and head down this road to sidi ifni. First bit to mirleft is good, but the best bit imho is when u exit this town and do the eighteen miles to sidi. Its empty, fantastic tarmac that's pothole free, good signage and barriers...... Usual rules apply beware of sheep and mind the throttle, there are a couple of sweeping drops that could end in tears if u r too fast. No police till the outskirts of sidi.
A road like this would be like Cadwell Park back home if it existed :mchappy:

Chris, you reminded me of this road and I dug out my 2014 ride report on GSer and here's the bit what describes the road. It seems we have similar tastes and good to know the road is still in good shape. There are also a few photos of the road and coast in the RR. Enjoy the rest of your trip:-

"In Tiznit I found the road out north west and was soon heading to the coast. It seemed strange to see big breakers coming in but I had to remind myself this was still the atlantic ocean even if it was over 30c. The road along the coast was a great, with the waves rolling in just off to my right. I stopped at a small bay and had a drink and marvelled at how similar the coastline was to west of Ireland or Cornwall.

I continued to Sidi Ifli and just after where the R 104 comes in, the road became a riding delight. It had been resurfaced and was perfect for a
tarmac lover like me. It wound its way along the coast with smooth sweeping bends, little traffic and the sea an ever present distraction to my right. I know a few friends I'd like to ride this stretch of road with. There was no need of music from the GPS as this road took my full attention. As I had a new tyre on it was good to scrub off the sheen off the surface. The bike felt better and at times I forgot I had full luggage on for a 6 week tour. I stopped at Sidi Ifni and watched the surfers and then went on to Guelmim. The road out to Guelmim was not as smooth but still a good ride, so if you are ever down this way this stretch is worth a detour"

Reminiscent of the Route 1 on the Big Sur in California, lovely twisty road sandwiched between the ocean and low hills.

Would love to have been on a GS, anything two wheel in fact, rather then the arkansaw chuggabug I've rented. That said I was less enthusiastic for two wheels last couple of days when the rain hit us with a vengeance. Cheered the Mrs right up doh still after her massage and roof top sun session today she is firing on all fours again...... That's the wife not the peugeot.

First drive I took from Aglou Plage I was thinking the exact same thing - how reminiscent it was of the desert part of State route 1 in California that runs along the coast from LA to SF.

Helps when the weather is back to being good again.... Mid twenties all day, beautiful waves and Sidi nearly hot going at one point
