Will you still be around Morocco at the beginning of Nov Tim?

Definitely no snow or blocked passes, I can see all the peaks from where I am.

It's too early in the year, most of the snow hits after Christmas and the Middle Atlas is often more badly affected than the High Atlas.

At the rate I doing I shall still be here the beginning of November, but not fixed.

Bart-
Funny you should mention a 500cc twin. Last month I purchased a used Kawasaki ER-5 in London and rode it through Spain, France, Morocco, back to Spain, around the Med to Italy and back. Then I sold it when I returned. One doesn't need any more power and the gas mileage was awesome!:scooter:

We bought ferry tickets to/from Cueta upon arrival and found it was cheaper than buying them online ahead of time AND we could just get on when we arrived. Much more convenient and took the stress out of having to be somewhere at a certain time.

Tim-
Thank you for your input on travel in Morocco! It really helped us!

Jim-
Have a blast and post pix!

Spot on John! I've always thought these 500 cc bikes were great value and did the job, as you've shown. Especially the mileage at European prices - these bikes are brilliant.:thumbup1::scooter:

It is great to hear there are other like minded souls as well, there is an intersting thread on Advr about the KLE500. It is pity Kawasaki have not updated it.

I like the look of the twin but what a price, i could probably afford the Suzuki, any idea of the mods done to it type of wheels etc. Off thread i know but could be a good project for my girlfriend her love affair the little suk has continued after her direct access.

Yes it was a bit pricey, but I gather thay would have started with a KLE but they don't get them in the States. I think the Aussi guy has the right idea.
Bon Voyage
Paul
