Thanks to all those people who have posted a response. After speaing to the DVLA contact centre and being told that I was looking at a 4 - 6 week wait and that they couldn't help i took it upon myself to do a 6hr round trip to the DVLA in Swansea (despite being told they don;t offer counter service). On arrival I spent 5 mins speaking to a really nice women on the non existant customer counter and while she said she couldn't promise anything she saw how desperate I was took and went up to speak to the V5 team herself. On the way back I got a voicemail from here saying it had been keyed and would be sent out that week. With a bit of luck it will be sat on the door mat today.
Fingers crossed!.....Moral of the story...check your paperwork way before you go! |

It's a nice feeling when what looks like the impossible is overcome :D
I was on a month long tour of eastern Europe and left my wallet in my cabin with E800 in it and set off to discover Europe. An hour later I was back at the ferry port after peicing together my many error. I was expecting for nothing to be found, but The cleaners hadn't got there and there it was with all my money and cards in it. So breath easy! you're not the only donkey! The lesson to me, that time, is not to hang out with Dutch biking gangs on the back of a boat until the early hours when you need to be up early in the morning!:nono: |
