We just completed our two week trip of Morocco. Given the temperatures were above seasonal for our start we followed the route that the typical tour companies take.
Chefchaouen, Fes for two nights ,Azrou to see the monkeys. Errachidia and then Merzouga for the camel ride to the desert tent. Best sleep of our entire journey. Great experience. Then Gorges Todra and Boumalne Dades. Then straight south over the Tizi n'Talougout pass which was exceptional. Overnight in Zagora where we both succumbed to gastrointestinal issues ☹️. Next to Ait Benhaddou and Marrakesh. Then along the coast back to Spain. Thanks to everyone who helped with our planning. |
Thanks for coming back.
Did you enjoy it, what were the highlights? |
We definitely enjoyed our trip.
Highlights Desert tent experience Fes guided tour Tizi n'Talougout pass Ait Benhaddou to Marrakech mountain pass. Highest adventure was mistakenly booking a luxury riad in the middle of the Medina in Marrakech. Then following a ‘helper’ on a scooter through the crowded narrow streets of the Medina on a fully loaded two up adventure bike. It all worked out but it was a hang on moment. Learning about the nomad Berber culture, endless sheep flocks. How they load cattle and hay on trucks. |
We probably crossed our paths at some of those points.
Everything was perfect for us too. Cold at night and warm during the day. Ahh, the 307 is in a good condition. some sections under construction, but easy to ride. |
