A cursory look through a couple of them leaves me with the impression that they do not add much value to a single Reise map, which is a much cheaper option for planning and touring purposes :(

I didn't know about those maps either Chris

Even at the risk of being wrong in giving my opinion only based on the screenshots shown, they are neither good specialized maps, nor exceptional guides of the respective areas that could provide us with something special and "new"; it seems that the author have wanted to take the best of both things but fall short in both.

Perhaps it is quite useful for someone who is traveling to Morocco for the first time, or who after their first trips begins to know something beyond the "classic and obligatory things to see and learn" on a first, or first trips.

I read on the website that the author have had the help of several specialists, of all kinds, in different areas and subjects.

In many guides I read that they are intended at trekking in rural areas, and that in others they add coordinates and photos of all kind of points of interest.

Thanks Chris for the contribution; it is always interesting to know new options to what we already know and have.

Given all that, and its price, I will pass ;-)

New Michelin 742

New 742 arrived today. Not had a chance for a good look, but noticed that Figuig-Mengoub station is now prohibited. On paper anyway.

Still shows the N13 as track south of Taouz. In fact it's fast, wide tarmac all the way to Ouzina. And there's tarmac all the way from the N12 south to Sidi Ali and Lac Maider.
Here come the mohos...

Not seen those either, I'm guessing with the old road numbers they are quite old? you'd think 6 years after the change people (and google) would be using the new road numbers by now

New 742 arrived today.
So did mine.
Took just a few mins to clock there's not much new to see here, but the paper does feel thicker.
Longer review.

It's only Morocco, but have to say you'll find the most up to date road and track surfaces on the M4 maps, along with M4 Updates and Corrections which have already been going a couple of months.
