Motor insurance Marrakesh
 

Could use some help:

I need to get motor insurance in Marrakesh on Wednesday when I collect my bike (being repaired by BMW). Can anyone recommend somewhere in Marrakesh where I can get insurance, preferably somewhere relatively easy to find. Previously used CAT but apparently AXA offer as well.

CAT are the only company authorised to issue insurance for foreign vehicles

Thanks. Yes I have a list of CAT agents in Marrakech but not sure they will all do Frontieres insurance. CAT gave me the name of one agent so hopefully it will work.

It was possible once but over the years got harder and harder in my experience.
Useful if you leave a vehicle at RAK and fly out.

I need to get the bike home. It has been there for 4 months. Hopefully the BMW garage can give me some help but not counting on it

At worst you may have to get a train to Tangier, get it from the port then train back. Might be doable in a day. Bring lashings of documents.
I had to do a version of that in 1982: Figuig to Oujda and back.
No insurance at that frontier then.

CAT office in Marrakesh - Address
 

Returned to my jeep at the airport on Monday which I’d left there in January. Got taxi to the CAT [Hiba] office and renewed my insurance on the spot. All done, back to the airport in 45 mins and on the road.

Can also be done be phone apparently 05 24292111. But it rang out when I tried before leaving Ireland.
