Moulouya River - Morocco
 

Guys - Does anyone have any first hand info re: the Moulouya River.

Anyone been into the the East of Morocco around the areas that the flows through. I am having a very difficult time trying to establish any information about the river, so any first hand accounts would be useful.

My trip will in part take place ON the river. So it's fairly important that I can establish info. re: flow rate during Summer, and availability of water/provisions along its course.

It's certainly wide with a good flow where it reaches the Mediterranean. There's another wide stretch near Berkane. Some of the stretches have been dammed for hydro electric and water conservation. I've not taken note of what it's like elsewhere.

Rivers normally attract settlements so I guess you would be OK for hanouts (grocery shops) selling food and drink.
