Plage Blanche Morocco is possible drive?? Any do??
Hi...
Any persone have drive in the plage Blanche, in the last weeks?? Any problem with police? tankss Peter |
Attempted it back in October but the tide was too far in and the sand very soft. 2 of the group had gearbox problems so we turned back. 1 Landcruiser got through OK.
Did it fine in 2013 wen the tide was further out and we could drive on hard sand. Check the tides times before you try. No problems with police, in fact didn't see any for miles |
Hi...

First I've heard about any law on driving next to the sea.
Both times I've been to the Plage Blanch we only saw fisherman, 4x4's and motos |
News to me. How would the police follow you? |

" 16 de Novembro de 2015 · OJOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! . 52.3 LEY Nº 81-12 RELATIVA AL LITORAL http://81.192.52.100/BO/fr/2015/BO_6404_Fr.pdf " Best Regards, Peter |
Yes, I can read Spanish. It would have helped people's understanding about your question if you had posted that earlier.
This is aimed mainly at camping cars (motor homes) and I can quite imagine some action might be taken if you were parked up overnight on the beach at Agadir, but Moroccan police tend to be walking rather than patrolling in a car, and they would need a 4x4 to intercept someone doing 60kph driving along Plage Blanche. I'm sure they have other, more important, things to do. |
Interesting, I had wondered about parking the motorhome at an interesting spot in the dunes about a mile South of Essaouira and wondered if there would be any objections, or unwelcome attention.
I guessed that the worst would be a request to move on, or move on the next day. |
Legislation tends to be produced to deal with problems and 100 French/Belgian/Dutch/British motorhomers parking on a popular Moroccan beach for three months at a time (and not contributing much to the local economy) is a problem, a single motorhome somewhere quiet isn't.
I know where you mean in Essaouira—I've explored that area on the motorbike—and I would have thought you would be OK so long as there's not a bunch of people there. |
hiii
if have any people do that this year....please say if have any problem...... i will try do the "Plage Blanche" in May! Tanksss Peter |
