Ras el Hanout?
Is it worth adding Ras El Hanout to my itinerary when I'm going to be in Foum anyway? Thanks.
|
No, you'll get screwed, it will be stale spices that have been on display and you'll pay the earth. I buy mine in the UK—controlled quality, lower prices.
Waitrose has two varieties: Bart's and Waitrose own brand But I buy mine from Lebanese/Arab shops, for example Lebanese 'seven spice' is also good. I did a count-up recently of all my herbs and spices... 46 in total. |
I should have added a question about the piste between Ras and Foum. But it's afternoon now, so too late.

Good stuff glad to see someone fell for it!

Seriously folks, I want to recommend this Ras el Hanout concoction. A new discovery for me, courtesy of my sister and a French supermarket.
A big taste of Morocco in your kitchen cupboard. Seems it can be added to everything. The label even mentions "coté desserts, gateaux au miel, friandises au beurre et amandes". |
