Man that’s got to be hard work!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I passed a chap pushing a shopping trolley in the middle of outback Australia, apparently he was walking right around the country.
|
His wife had probably sent him up to the new Marianne at Guelmim:clap:
|
That’s pretty mad hey. Looks like he could do with a nice sail on his rig :thumbup1:

Actually I think that stick has a rolled-up sail, but knowing WS, the wind is always in your face.
It's an old Chinese idea that was tried before in the Sahara. While the bitumen lasts this guy's set up looks pretty efficient, right down to the white outfit. |
Go on Chris.....try it and add to your illustrious CV

Just found this

That is a fabulous...not that I plan on doing it. That said, should I show Ms 7 this video? She's already doing decent distances on her blades... Hmm... ;-)
Odd that he got from Morocco to Mauritania without traveling through Western Sahara. |
This sort of thread brought to my mind this story. Not as physically demanding but...
I was in Ziguinchor, Senegal, during Football's African Cup in Nations 1992 where I spotted an real Algerian ultra. I had seen him on the television once of twice so I introduced myself. He had hitched down from Algiers through In Guezzam then down to Niamey and managed to get on the train, sans billet, from Bamako to Dakar. He'd lost his job and had no money to travel so he thought hitching, there and back, would be a cheap option. Me: Any trouble getting rides? Him: No. If you saw me and my flag in the middle of nowhere I would be hard to ignore. Then there's the Dutch couple and their dinghy on the Niger...I'll stop now. |

Most Moroccans would say there is no W Sahara, only South Morocco. Perhaps he wanted to keep out of politics.bier |

Never seen anyone roller blading down there but I did see a couple of recliner bikes - the sort where you lie back to pedal - towing trailers. That also looked like hard work, particularly when you get to 20km of corrugated dirt road works. Seen a number of women roller blading / skating and pushing prams / buggies on the cycle tracks round here for exercise, but 10km is one thing, 1000km is another. |
Western Sahara only exists outside of Morocco. In Morocco its either the Moroccan Sahara or the Southern Provinces.
For insurance, breakdowns what ever its classed as Morocco |
