week in Morocco
 

Hi

I have week free at end of April, beginning of June and I'm thinking of a week in Morocco. I live in Spain, so it's an easy trip across the water from here. I'll be riding a tiger 800, so looking for some trails but not serious off road stuff. Will be my first trip to Morocco, so some company might be good.

You got any specific dates in mind?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning a short trip to Morocco at the end of May, mainly to test bike and gear before going on a longer trip. Be riding a Triumph Tiger 800, hopefully getting off the tarmac but no dunes etc.

Anyone care to join me?

No, haven't been yet, missed the opportunity to go this month, so its looking like September now. Chris Scott's book "Morocco Overland" is well worth reading, lots of practical advice in there regarding the entry procedures at the port, routes and the best times of the year to go.

I don't like to have an exact plan or route, I will decide that day by day, probably avoiding the big cities and finding accommodation as I go. I've never been to Morocco, so don't know exactly what to expect, there's so much conflicting advice out there, the only way is to go and see it for yourself.

Once I have my dates firmed up, I will post it up here to see if I can find a riding buddy, quite prepared to go it alone, but would prefer riding in a group of 2-4.

Friend and I are hoping to go but tentative right now. We are also more "play it be ear" so will keep and eye on this thread and let you know if/when we have any firmer ideas.

I was there last month ,garaged bike and flew back,returning the end of this month/early june for a couple of weeks,if you are about maybe meet up
