Which port in Morocco

All being well I'm hoping to go to Morocco mid March. Looking at ferries from Sete in France, either to Nador or Tangier. Has anyone done the trip, and what's the better arrival port and why ?

Nador is great if you want to explore Oriental Morocco and the Rekkam Plateau. This is a trip report from six years ago, Slave labour camps, fossils and desert flowers

Otherwise Tanger Med is the normal entry point with easy access to the motorway network if you want to head south at pace.

Nador is a much quicker way to get down the desert on quiet roads, but one problem is insurance can be hit and miss and lately hit, compared to TanMed.

As long as insurance is reliable, I'd sooner use Nador.
