HUMM: are you having problems reading the maps?
The map used for HUMM is really detailed but it's proving difficult to read. But no problem, I've found an elegant solution...

Nice one Tim! Have you patented it yet before Touratech/Wunderlich and co. start including it in their catalogues? :thumbup1:

Could always get two and make one HUGE pair of glasses. :eek3:
My Varifocals are 'eleganter'. Is that a word? |
Mad. Ingenious. But Mad.
I guess you need to make sure the sun is not focused on the map !!!! Where can I get one? |
That's a good point. Just as well the fuel tank is under the seat on the F650GS.
It's called a sewer's magnifying glass (sewer as in someone who sews, not effluent). |
a single clue for Pyreknees Up / HUMM virgins:
scan the maps on high resolution, with no more than one checkpoint to the next on any page. Blow it up to fill an A4 page, (or a rally cockpit winder thingy) ... print out .... enjoy The larger you can blow up those spanish maps, the better you will be able to see your route. If you try to use the original map you will be blind by the end of day 1. You will have a torn ripped map from refolding 27 times, and you will find it much harder to write specific checkpoint notes next to the checkpoint. Scanning, blowing up, reprinting will save you hours! |
