Sun compass and Theodolites etc

Noticed you are in Scotland, do you hold training sessions for sun compass and theodolite as I have some people who are part of a future exped to Egypt/Libya and have been struggling to get the old skills taught to them. We don't plan on using GPS etc as it is all vintage WW2 era navigation that we want to replicate. I have a Bagnold and 2 Howard Mk 3 sun compasses as well as a Theodolite, which I am still trying to master.:confused1:

I would be delighted to hold a training course on the use of the sun compass and the use of the theodolite for celestial navigation. With a weather eye to Grant's stricture at the top of the page - let me say that there would be no charge (OK Grant?).

Of course, you could solve all the problems of mastering the old methods by letting me come along on the expedition :yes:
