Garmin 60cx - few questions
I have the Garmin Zumo650, love it, but want a smaller version for off roading.
few questions if I may 1.How do you follow directions, if there is not a possibility to have an earpeice.- does it count down to a turn, especially if the route is a track, not a road. 2.Can this be used off road (say using mapsource?- where I want to explore a region & then download ir to a map & store it)- I believe these units are used on mountain bikes? 3.Can I easily use off road maps, marked up with routes to then transfer onto this GPS? These, I am sure, are simple questions, but I am use to using Zumo as a conventional GPS- its hard wired to one bike & I don't want to transfer it to another bike. Thanks |
OK- I have found out & will share the answers for those interested.
1.Directions are all visual ( similar to taking a bearing on a compass & locking onto a distant topographical object) 2.It can be used off road & works with mapsouce & Googlemaps 3.Yes- see above! I am getting one within the next few days & will then hopefully be able to give better answers to any other questions others might have. |
I await your appraisal.
I've been looking for a decent offroad gps. I'll be looking forward to what you have to say about the garmin 60cx!
