Normal service will be resumed asap.....
Hi all,
I've been working on the smellybiker.com website for the last couple of days, amongst other things the wanderlust stuff has been merged with the main site. Its taking me a while to move accounts onto the new system, hope to finish it today but while thats going on you might notice some weirdness. Should be finished soon, please bear with me. Update: All sorted now, back to normal |
Lifetime membership
Hi,
Sadly, the lifetime membership is'nt available anymore - I'm not happy about it but the hosting costs were killing me. The price of membership is unchanged (GBP 25), but instead of 'download access and updates forever' this now includes 12 months of access. An additional 12 months access will cost GBP 10 - not much but this should cover bandwidth charges etc. Existing 'lifetime members' are *not* affected by this change, if you've already signed up your membership will never expire. I dont want to dent my karma so I'll give an extra 12 months membership to any HUBB'ers who sign up before December - just PM me via HUBB so I know you came from here, tell me your 'smellybiker' username and I'll sort it out. |
Is Wunderlust all I'll need?
I'm about to ride through North, Central and South America. I have a Garmin Zumo 550.
Will the Wanderlust World map be all I need for my Garmin? I'm new to GPS so not too sure how it all works yet! I'll also be taking paper maps for back up but I'd like to use my GPS as much as possible. Greasy Sprocket |
This software looks fantastic, but I was thinking of going down the PDA route instead - specifically the Pocket Loox.
Do you need a garmin GPS (plus the software), or will just the mapsource software be ok? If it's the latter then I can just throw it on the PDA and everything'd be hunky dory. :) thanks, Alex. |
