Route Planning on Linux
Hi I have been searching the forums and looking to see if there is any software of a similar nature to autoroute that I can use on my Acer Aspire One running Linux
I really do like the idea of the Linux Os but I find myself being drawn back to windows by lack of suitable software. Does anyone know of anything out there? Thanks |

Why not use one of the systems such as via michelin online? or did you mean on the road ?

Yes thats what it looks like being. I was wondering if there was anything that wasn't dependant on being online though.

Mapfactor Navigator
Not sure if they still do but Mapfactors Navigator software used to be available for Linux
Ive used it as a demo on a PC and the software is very good |
Just for your info, if you do go back to xp, I have an aspire one with ssd drive and mapsource runs well on it, as does xp. I put portable apps on it to conserve disk spave and unnecessary rubbish.
PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives I think linux stayed on mine for about 5hrs from opening the box! I have just ordered a gig of additional ram from crucial for £9.19 delivered. So that should make it even better. Acer do xp driver for it. |
