Where to put the SOS Garmin inReach
Hi
I'm using a Garmin inReach Explorer, for tracking but also mostly to be able to call for help in case I fall in a remote region. As I want to be prepared for the worst, I feel uncomfortable putting it on the bike in case I end up separated from my bike and want to call for help. Thus I want to keep it attached to me, but somewhere where it neither hurts me if I fall on it, nor will I break it if I fall on it. Where do you guys keep your tracker? I noticed how Ryan F9 attached his Spot to his shoulder, which seems to be a good idea. Unfortunately, the Garmin inReach is a lot bigger and it only has one Carabiner or a belt-clip to attach it with. |
It doesn't seem THAT much bigger. You can always use a length of velcro ribbon to fix its other side.
Another option is to get a reflective vest with pockets sized for walkie-talkies - they have secure straps that allow the antenna to stick out. |
