2010 Dakar Rally

Where d'you reckon it'll be held?

If the eco-weenies and terrorists get there way, it will end up in someone's front room on a Playstation... ahem.

Hi JMo hows the USA ? is the black wonder still purring ?

I was thinking Hyde Park on the electric KTM mx bikes that will be out by then. They could dump a few million tonnes of sand and we could watch as they do laps of the serpentine !:scooter::mchappy:

The USA is fantastic - taking a breather in Vegas (if that is possible?!) then will be back on the road for a few weeks before Christmas. The Tenere has been superb - a proper off-roader and a great highway cruiser too - everything I'd hoped it would be - awesome bike!

As for 'urban' off-roading, I saw in TBM this month that someone is building a Red Bull Romanics style extreme enduro park in East London - maybe that will become an Olympic sport too?!

Since the Dakar rallye is no longer held in North Africa...shouldn't this query be posted in the South America section and not the Sahara ;)

So, you don't think there's any chance of it being back in North/West Africa by 2010 then MotoEdde?

Surely while its still referred to as le Dakar, there is still a rather a big chance it may run in Africa again. Infact I'm pretty sure if next years Rally proves to be a success then they may look at running 2 Rally's per year. To beeat the heat of the African summer.:scooter:
