Africa Overland by motorbike
I'm planning to cross Africa by motorbike (suzuki gn 250) from Tunisi to Cape Town, via Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, ....

Don't let these guys put you off. Your bike's probably not the ideal choice but the fact is the trip can be done on virtually ANY bike - given enough time and determination. Good luck mate (from a fellow traveller who has actually been there and done that!)

I want to travel from Egypt to Tunis through Libya, but I have heard you have to apply for an invitation in groups of 4, I'm looking for three othrs and we don't have to travel at the same time, are you interested? If you have heard anything different about this let me know.

I did not get a libyan visa so I travelled via greece, turkey, syria, jordan, egypt, sudan, ethiopia, kenya, tanzania, malawi, mozambique, zimbabwe, south africa...and I am going back...different way! Nicola |

From Italy to Cape Town...and From Cape Town to Lusaka...about 27000 km's. When I started the bike had 50000 km's
