agadez-tam by public transport/share taxi/hitching
hi,
i will soon be travelling the route agadez-arlit-assamaka-in guezzam-tam using public transport/share-taxis/hitching. can anyone tell me if it is still necessary to: 1. get a "vu au passage" stamp when leaving agadez 2. register with the authorities in arlit and assamaka 3. join a convoy anywhere on this route. please only if you have the latest infos (ie 2002) thank you paul |
There is no public transport and hitching for free is unknown, it will be back of a lorry or a clapped out share taxi unless you get lucky.
1. No 2. Arlit, do what the others do in the vehicle - driver will know. Assamaka, check out like any border. 3. Local vehicles do their own thing, you will be just a passenger. let us know how it goes Ch ------------------ Author of Sahara Overland and the Adventure Motorcycling Handbook, among other things http://www.sahara-overland.com |
