Chris, just a couple of questions re. your updates:
Are the dog-infested hot springs actually at HbG, or are they some 60km east (H Tabankort on my 953)? You say the Djanet road is under repair - am I right to assume it's still OK for a road bike though? ------------------ ichapp.users.btopenworld.com |
Its the ones just south of HbG - hopefully they have been chased off as its a popular spot.
Road ride to Djanet no probs, occasional potholes along the entire route notwithstanding. Actually when are you going? I have something to deliver to Djanet soon? Have a great ride Ch |
I'll be going at fairly short notice, aiming to leave in 3-4 weeks' time. If that's not too late for you, then no problem!
BTW, as I'm not yet sure of exact dates, is there any problem with "planning" now for a longer visit (say 6 weeks) for invitation/visa purposes, then departing later and returning earlier (max 10 days in Alg), to give me some flexibility, and avoid leaving invitation/visa till the last minute? I've been speaking with Claudia at Tarahist re. invite. |
Err, I think the answer is 'no'.
Visas are for a month, I believe but ask at the consulate Tel. 020 7589 6885 Will let you know if my thing to deliver will be ready. Ch |
I'm pretty sure you can get a 3 month visa if you ask nicely, but you can only get it up to a month before you go.
