Congratulations on completing this memorable work. Almasy was one of the ‘greats’ who travelled where no man had been before – a goal we all cherish, and some achieve, but he did it with untried (and not always successful) motor machinery, without e-mail support and without internet backup!
I am a slow reader – keep the book on the back burner and I WILL buy it after I have digested the current shelf-full of desert books.
