Assamaka GPS Co-ordinates
 

The GPS co-ordinates in Sahara Overland for the Niger border post at Assamaka appear to be wrong, with three seperate people entering the coordinates into the GPS we all found ourselves in an empty bit of desert. After asking a friendly camel rider we found our way to the post, and I'm sure someone else on the trip will post the co-ords later

Sorry to hear that. I did not log this route for the book but it looks about right for me - though obviously not right enough! I'll ask the guy who supplied it. I know there have been some very heavy winds in the area.
