Planning to do a little exploring around Atar, can I manage it in a 2wd?

don't drive so im not exactly sure, and how far do you mean ? the road is asphalted as far as ksar torchane in northern direction and as far as azougui in western direction. i saw some mauritanians driving in 2wd around azougui in the sand. cant help more than that though !

No problem in 2WD around Atar.

Just Ouadanne, the track is easy, with no sand.

Just Choum, the track is hard, corrugated, with rocks, but the landscape is fantastic!
