We're also planning the Eilat border crossing. I heard from the Israel stamp problems but are they really that big of a problem? We can get two passports, but the stamp from Eilat border into Egypt can cause trouble for us..
Does anyone have some other options for overland travel from EU to Egypt or workarounds for the stamp?

I'm not sure it's ever been a problem with Egypt at Taba otherwise that border would never work (assuming it's open these days).
The problem can come later in Sudan or other Arabic-speaking countries, but only if you ask for it (they have to examine you passport closely to work it out).
No need for 2nd passport afaik, Israeli stamp is on a loose leaf.

Overland from EU right now, it's the only option.

Thanks Chris! We won't leave for two more years, but I think I'll take my chances as there are no other options.
