Hi Beba,

Do you mind telling us Hadi Bkai's rates?
In your webpage there was a photograph of a Carnet De Passage. Was this issued in Libya? Were you in Libya for 3 days only?

Looked up all your other postings but couldn't find these answers.

Thanks
ps. nice images

Carnet we got on border.
For travelling in Libya guide is not necessary. Only to desert is strongly recommended.

Hi,
After some research and contacting authorities in Libya(and if I understand it right as there seem to be few teories here) small group of bikers can travel without a guide, however if you travel by car you do need a guide. For groups over 4 people you need to be accompanied by a policeman as well.
But can't guarantee that....

I'm thrown off.

I thought you couldn't get into Tunisia without a guide. How do you get into Tunisia to get into Libya then?

clarification

When people are talking about 'transit visa in Tunisia' - they are still talking about the Libyan transit visa.

No visa required, for tourism, for nearlay anyone visiting Tunisia.

Sam.

Thanks. So no problem with ferrying my bike from Sicily after Motogiro?

Ideally, I'd love to ride Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt. Either find a job teaching English in Cairo or Portugal. USA passport.

I have just returned from a week in Libya (a business trip), during which I was all over the country - East, West, in the desert, constantly moving around either by vehicle or by aircraft.

Libya is a very nice country and the Libyan people are generally very hospitable, but you need to make sure your paperwork is in order before you travel. If you don't have the correct papers for the places you want to visit, you will encounter problems, and they will be as bad as the problems that a visitor to the United States would encounter if their paperwork was not in order.

It would be most unwise to attempt to make a touristic journey with only a transit visa. In some countries, this would likely go undetected, but not in Libya.
