2 years ago we just rocked up and had to hire a whole railway car (flatbed) for just one vehicle. It cost us $250 USD, IIRC you could get 3 or 4 vehicles on each flatbed. That was one way (and at twenty-odd hours - more than enough!).
If we'd booked in advance I think it may have been cheaper, but there's the whole French thing going on - all I can say is "deux bières s'il vous plaît" and that doesn't work in Mauri very often! Also, I suggest you take 4 high quality vehicle tie downs. The way they lash your pride and joy to the train with a few bits of metal and 6 inch nails leaves a lot to be desired! We did the train just several weeks ago and it was around 16,000 oogs.

I found a photo of the 110 on the train, notice the tie-downs!
