Ferry from Sete to Tanger
Hi All
Anyone used either Comanav or Comarit recently and can pass on experiences? I know that there were posts a year or two back but was seeking up to date info. Thanks in anticipation Q |
Yes
I used Comanav last year and Comarit this year. What do you want to know?
|
Hi Edith
What I was after knowing is a) which, if either, would you recommend? b) whether the facilities were OK-past posts had said that some of the ships were in poor condition. c) would you use either again? Q |
I use this ferry frequently. The ship Marrakech from Comanav is okay, but the Marrakech Express is horrible, motors not working well, slowly, in one case people had to get out in Valencia. I can not recommend this ship. The problem is with Comanav you never know exactla which ship will be in the port.
The Biladi from Comarit was okay, no complaints. I would go on both companies again, but hold my breath not to get on the Express. |
Hi Q
I sailed with Comarit from Tangiers to Sete March this year, I cant remember the name of the ship but there were no problems. I paid about 100 pounds one way and bought the ticket in Ouarzazate. I have also sailed Sete to Tangier, return, the previous year and I seem to recall the boat not being so clean. I'd hapilly sail with both again although my first choice would be to go with Comarit. I booked on one of them to go Tangier to Sete. I turned up on the day of the sailing to find it was cancelled due to mechanical failure. Sailings between the two companies are only every 2 days so it's not a case of just jumping on the next one.
Ferries are the way to go, but the service isn't 100% reliable at all times. |
