fuel in Dirkou (Niger)
 

I learned from Tamoil Niger that they are opening up a fuel station in Dirkou later this month. Must be the most remote fuel station in the world!

Not sure what the involvement of Bou Bakar Jerome is (mayor of Dirkou, fuel merchant and son of the late Jerome the Lybian).

Was there last week, the station is there, freshly painted but nobody knew when it would open, so refuelling was still from drums.

We were there 2 weeks ago and the word was that the station was not going to open within the next 6 months!!!
