Fuel in Guerguarat?
does anyone know if there is a gas station
at the morocco-mauritania border post of Guerguarat? if the answer is yes, is it more expensive than stations farther north? if the answer is no, where exactly is the last fuel supply, coming from dakhla? does it cause any custom/border problems, if one takes additional fuel in cans/bottles to go all the way down to Nouakchott? thanks for your help + good luck to everyone |
I've posted locations of fuel stops here:
http://ichapp.users.btopenworld.com/...occo_route.htm The southernmost one shown would be the last one before NDB. ------------------ ichapp.users.btopenworld.com |

I am looking for some other cars to cross to Nouakchott, camping in dakhla is totaly empty in this moment; |
The last station is about 75km north of the border. There is no guarantee that there will be fuel especially diesel here as a lot of Mauris come up to buy.
The checkpoint "Poste de Marine" which is 20kms south of this closes at 18:00. You can either sleep there or sleep in the new hotel at the above mentioned service station (very clean) for Dh100 or DH150 a double. |
